Traps are manufactured in a wide variety, whether they are rabbit or dog traps. During Manufacture they are stamped for identification reasons, they are stamped on the pan, spring, under the stock etc.

The stamp on the trap is what collectors are after, the stamps can be manufacturers name, importers name, retailers name, they can also have numbers, pictorials, etc.

Like most things that are collectible, there are common articles and there are rare articles, traps are no exception Collectors also appreciate the condition of the traps, for example if the trap is rusty, pitted and parts missing it will be worth much less than a trap that is in pristine condition.
